There is no lingering doubt that, all things being equal, nitrogen in tires is a better inflation option for your luxury vehicle tires. Having the correct pressure (and the NHTSA figures say that cars on the road do not have the correct pressure) makes for better fuel mileage and a decreased chance of blow outs. Nitrogen helps with this.
The argument that “I’ve always used air and don’t need nitrogen in tires” is the same logic used by those that said I don’t need multi-grade oil I’ve always used 30W, or who needs synthetic oil I’ve always used conventional and it is fine.

If in fact your car is deficient in a pressure-monitoring system you should check your tires on average every four weeks and consistently ahead of a long voyage to make sure that they’re adequately inflated. Tires that are precisely inflated will usually wear in a good way even with minor weather occurrences.
